Privacy Policy
Advantage IT and Business Consulting Inc. ("Reskill", "we", "us") is a company based in Ontario, Canada. We provide an AI-assisted career-transition tool. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, how we use and protect it, and the choices and rights you have. We handle personal information in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy laws (including Quebec's Law 25 where it applies). If you are in the EU/UK, the GDPR/UK-GDPR also applies to our processing of your data.
1. Information we collect
- Account & contact data — your email address and name.
- Career profile — the information you provide or that our assessments generate: work history, skills, achievements, education, certifications, employers and locations, your LinkedIn URL, and generated CVs, LinkedIn content, and reports.
- Conversation & voice content — your chat messages and, in voice features, the text transcript of what you say. Speech is transcribed in your browser; we receive the transcript, not stored audio recordings.
- Job-search data — job postings you add, application statuses, notes, outreach contacts you enter (which may include other people's names and titles), offer details, and interview practice transcripts and scores.
- Usage data — basic events about which features you use, and standard server logs.
- Payment data — if you subscribe, billing is handled by Stripe; we store a Stripe customer reference and subscription status, not your full card details.
- Cookies — strictly-necessary cookies to keep you signed in (see Section 8).
2. Why we use it (purposes)
We use personal information to: provide and operate the service (run assessments, generate your CV/LinkedIn/interview materials, track your job search); create and secure your account; communicate with you (including sign-in links); process subscriptions; improve and troubleshoot the service; and meet legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information.
3. Consent
We collect, use, and disclose your personal information with your consent. By creating an account or submitting your email to save a report, you consent to the processing described here. You may withdraw consent at any time (subject to legal or contractual limits) by contacting us — see Section 9. Withdrawing consent may mean we can no longer provide parts of the service.
3a. Marketing emails (CASL)
We only send marketing or promotional emails (such as career tips and product updates) if you have given express consent — for example, by checking the opt-in box when you save a report. This is separate from essential account messages like sign-in links, which we send to operate the service. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time at /unsubscribe or in your account settings. We comply with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
4. AI processing
Reskill is AI-assisted. Your conversation and profile content is processed by third-party AI providers to generate responses and materials. The on-screen coach persona ("Monika") presents an AI assistant built on Monika Renée's coaching method; it is not a live human and its output may contain errors — please verify important details before relying on them.
5. Service providers & international transfers
We share personal information with vetted service providers who process it on our behalf, only as needed to run the service:
- Supabase — database, authentication, and hosting of your data.
- Anthropic — the Claude AI models that generate responses (receives your conversation/profile content).
- Vercel — application hosting.
- Stripe — subscription billing.
- ElevenLabs — optional voice synthesis (receives the assistant's reply text).
- Adzuna — optional live job search (receives your search query and location).
- Google — where your browser's built-in speech recognition is used, your speech is transcribed by your browser's provider (e.g. Google in Chrome).
Some providers are located in the United States or other countries, so your information may be stored or processed outside Canada and may be accessible to authorities there under their laws. We use providers that offer appropriate contractual and security protections.
6. Retention
We keep your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, then for a reasonable period to meet legal, tax, and security obligations, after which we delete or anonymize it. You can request deletion at any time (Section 9).
7. Safeguards
We protect personal information with administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to its sensitivity, including access controls, encryption in transit, and row-level data isolation per user. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
8. Cookies
We use strictly-necessary cookies to keep you signed in and secure your session. We do not currently use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. If that changes, we will update this policy and seek consent where required.
9. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may: access the personal information we hold about you; correct inaccurate information; withdraw consent; and request deletion or a copy (export) of your data. To exercise these rights, email us at hello@sixfiguresreskill.com. We will respond within the timeframes required by law. If you have a concern we cannot resolve, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (or your provincial regulator, such as the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec).
10. Children
Reskill is intended for users who are the age of majority in their province or territory. It is not directed at children.
11. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a new effective date and, where appropriate, notify you.
